Hey there, my name is Serra, and I’m glad you’re here!

Legacy Counseling was born out of a deeply personal journey—one that began in a home filled with turmoil, abuse, and neglect. Growing up in that environment led me down a path of self-destruction in my early years. But I believe God had other plans. I wasn’t meant to stay a victim of my circumstances.

Even as a child, I was fascinated by the human mind and the ways people find healing. That spark—combined with my own experiences and the support I received from counselors and, later, my biological mom—helped me begin picking up the broken pieces of my life. I found my voice. I found hope. And with it, I discovered a calling: to walk alongside others as they uncover their own stories and paths to healing.

Legacy Counseling started as a dream—a vision of a place where people could feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow. Today, it continues to grow into something real and impactful every day.

Professionally, I hold a Bachelor’s in Biblical Counseling and Studies and a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. Additionally, I am licensed as a therapist (LPC) in the state of Texas. These experiences shaped my belief that healing must touch the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. I’m passionate about blending holistic health, faith, and evidence-based mental health practices to provide care that is compassionate, practical, and deeply meaningful.

On a personal note, I’m happily married to my husband, Michael, and I’m a proud stepmom to three incredible children. My family grounds me, inspires me, and reminds me every day why I do what I do.
